About

Kelly Patrick Harquail  lives on the east coast of Canada in the city of Saint John New Brunswick with his wife and two daughters. Saint John, a port city, has a strong historical background and a strong  mix of different Industries. From extremely blue collar jobs to bleached white collar careers, it is a city of many colours and hats. From its trade schools to its University, Saint John produces an eclectic palate of people. It is from this palate that Kelly has for years collected stories and ideas.

About me, simply put I want to write and tell stories, I want to make films, short ones and feature lengths and I want to make documentaries. I have recently became a member of The New Brunswick Film Co op. Through the Co op I hope to be able to get the experience and training needed so that I can be involved in the film making process, from cleaning up after a shoot for someone, to creating my own story and putting it on film.

In University, I was quite active in campus radio and along with two other students created short-lived comedy troupe that had a show on a local cable channel and performed at variety shows at the university. I was also very involved in the school newspaper, I started out as a reporter and ended up associate Editor.

After school came family and career, but now I find myself working towards old challenges like writing and film making. My stories are based on events, memories and my imagination. My inspiration comes from my family, friends and my gritty little port city. Also I have done years of intensive research on Movies and Television. When I was younger they called it an addiction, but I knew some day it would come in handy so I was able to persevere and continue the research.

So that is a little blurb about me, maybe it doesn’t say much hopefully my obituary will be more elegant and say more. If you really want to know more about me then just keep reading my stories. It’s in my stories that I put myself, my experiences and emotions.

As for the title of this site “Karmic Rhythm”, I’m a big believer in what goes around comes around. If I or anyone else wants to have a better life then we need to get into a rhythm of helping others, listening to others and being just a bit more compassionate. I have found that once I get into this rhythm then I am working on my on Karma and I feel better, but that’s just me.

Hope you enjoy my stories and my ever evolving site.

CHEERS!
